Nirmal Haloi College erstwhile "Pragjyotish College" was established in 1979 to meet the growing need for an institution for higher education in the Patacharkuchi area. Since there was no proper accommodation or facility to open Degree Courses at the time of establishment, the subject of Education was introduced at the Pre-University level. There were 52 students in the first batch of the college and the subject Education began with 42 students.
Degree Class in Education (General Course) was introduced in 1985 with 09 students. The major course in Education could not be introduced at that time due to a lack of qualified teachers and accommodations. the major course was introduced in 1993 with 25 students.
VISION:
As higher education is the basic tool for social transformation and national advancement, it is expected to train the best manpower in all walks of life. We want to elevate the learner’s personality, behaviour, and self-control to prepare them for better social adjustment. We want to encourage the learner to per suit.
